Being an LPDP Awardee: To Go Home or Not To Go Home.

A personal perspective.

First thing first, let’s make it clear. If you ask whether I will go home after my master study or not, my answer is yes, I will go home. No matter how comfortable it is living abroad, I have no intention in giving up my nationality even if I were to live abroad for a long time. No matter how many critics I can throw to my home country, I only criticize because I care. But now the question is, will I go home directly after completing my studies? Will it be an immediate return and never leave again? If I have the option to explore what’s abroad a bit longer, that’s exactly what I would prefer. I would also gladly share what I write to LPDP as part of my application back in 2023 as many netizen tend to phrase “don’t forget what you write in your commitment essay”.
